Horny goat weed has one of the best names in the herbal world, and a long history to go with it. In traditional Chinese practice, epimedium (its proper name) has been used for male vitality for centuries.

Natures Craft Horny Goat Weed takes that herb and surrounds it with several other traditional men's botanicals. It's one of the top sellers in Amazon's horny goat weed category, and the most popular one made specifically for men.

What's in the formula

Natures Craft sells this as a 9-in-1 complex with 1,000 mg per serving. The label lists:

• Horny goat weed extract, the headline herb

• Black maca root, a Peruvian root vegetable popular for energy and libido

• Tongkat ali, a Southeast Asian root used for men's vitality

• Tribulus terrestris, a staple of men's formulas

• Muira puama, a Brazilian herb sometimes called potency wood

• Saw palmetto, for men's prostate support

• Polypodium vulgare, a fern root used in traditional herbalism

The listing also mentions Panax ginseng among its premium ingredients.

What I like here is the variety. Rather than relying on one herb, it combines several that men have reached for across very different traditions, from China to the Andes to the Amazon.

What it's meant to do

Natures Craft describes the formula as designed to help men support stamina, energy, endurance, strength and vitality, and to feel more confident. It's positioned as a daily men's energy and vitality supplement.

That's the kind of boost a lot of men are after once work, kids and a few decades start to add up.

Using it day to day

The directions are two capsules daily with meals. Natures Craft recommends drinking a full glass of water before meals for better digestion, and suggests taking it one to two hours before physical activity. A bottle has 60 capsules, so it's a one-month supply.

Taking it with food is worth doing. Several of these herbs can be a bit much on an empty stomach, and a meal makes the whole thing gentler.

It's also among the more affordable men's formulas on Amazon, which makes it an easy one to try for a month.

Made in the USA

The capsules are manufactured in the USA with globally sourced ingredients. Natures Craft is the same brand behind Neuro Health, a popular brain supplement, and it has built a sizable following on Amazon.

Who it's a good fit for

Natures Craft Horny Goat Weed suits healthy adult men who:

• want a broad herbal blend rather than a single ingredient

• are curious about maca, tongkat ali and horny goat weed together

• would like a little extra support for energy and stamina

• want an affordable bottle to try

Like any men's supplement, it works best alongside regular exercise, good sleep and lower stress. Those three alone make a real difference to how you feel.

A few important health notes

The label recommends checking with a doctor before use if you have a heart condition or high blood pressure, or take any medication. That's important here. Herbs like horny goat weed and ginseng can affect blood pressure and may interact with nitrates, ED drugs and blood thinners, and ginseng can lower blood sugar for people on diabetes medicine. It's not for anyone under 18 or for pregnant or nursing women. A few people get headaches or an upset stomach, so stop if that happens. And if you've noticed ongoing changes in your sexual health, a doctor visit is a smart move, since it can be an early sign of heart or blood sugar issues.

If you're a healthy guy who wants to give a classic herbal blend a fair try, Natures Craft Horny Goat Weed is an easy, affordable place to start.
