"Your body's repair system." That's how Health, Energy, Longevity, LLC of Las Vegas describes your stem cells, and it's the idea behind The Stem Cell Solution. The company sells it as a way to "support and rejuvenate healthy stem cells."
The bottle reads "Healthy Aging" and "Stem Cell and Telomere Support." Inside are 60 capsules, a month's supply at two a day.
I enjoyed the way it's presented, honestly. The page reads like an old school letter from Micheal Bentley, the company's research director, complete with a P.S. at the end. It feels personal in a way most supplement pages don't.
Eight ingredients, one capsule
The company publishes its label, which lists a single 346.5 mg proprietary blend per two capsules, with no individual amounts:
L-theanine
French maritime pine bark extract
Milk thistle seed extract
Trans-pterostilbene, from Pterocarpus marsupium wood
Astragalus root extract
Horny goat weed extract (Epimedium, 20% icariin)
Quercetin dihydrate
Beta cyclodextrin
The capsule is gelatin, with brown rice flour as the filler.
Why these were chosen
The sales page explains that several of these compounds show up in stem cell and cell aging research. That research is real, but it's mostly in cell cultures and animals, and there's no published human trial showing this formula increases stem cells or lengthens telomeres. That research is real, but it's mostly in cell cultures and animals, and there's no published human trial showing this formula increases stem cells or lengthens telomeres. That research is real, but it's mostly in cell cultures and animals, and there's no published human trial showing this formula increases stem cells or lengthens telomeres. Astragalus, through its compound astragaloside IV, is one of the best known. The page specifically mentions astragaloside IV in a cyclodextrin complex, which is where the beta cyclodextrin on the label comes in. Icariin from horny goat weed and pterostilbene have also been studied for their effects on stem cell behavior and markers of cell aging. The company cites four references from journals including Frontiers in Pharmacology and Scientific Reports.
The rest of the formula has a nice everyday appeal too. French maritime pine bark extract has human studies on circulation and skin. L-theanine, the calming amino acid from tea, is popular for relaxed focus. Quercetin is one of the most common plant antioxidants, found in apples and onions. Milk thistle has been used for liver support for a very long time.
Pterostilbene is a close relative of resveratrol, the compound people associate with red wine, and it's become a favorite in longevity circles.
What the company says you'll notice
The company talks about feeling "fabulous and younger again" and enjoying a "more healthy and more energetic life." The page also makes clear that the product has nothing to do with embryonic stem cells. It's a capsule of plant compounds and nutrients.
The eight bottle deal and other options
1 bottle: $59.95 plus $7.95 shipping
4 bottles: $47.40 per bottle
6 bottles plus 2 free (8 total): $32.46 per bottle, free shipping
That eight bottle deal is generous. At about $32 a bottle with free shipping, it's one of the better per bottle prices I've seen for a longevity formula. The page lists bundle prices per bottle, so you'll see the total at checkout. ClickBank processes orders.
The guarantee
There's a 60-day guarantee, and the letter says you can send back what you have left, even empty bottles, for a full refund. That's a fair, simple policy.
A nice fit for
Adults in midlife and beyond who want a daily antioxidant formula with a longevity focus, and who like ingredients with a long track record such as pine bark, quercetin, L-theanine and milk thistle. If you're the type who reads up on pterostilbene and astragalus for fun, you'll probably enjoy this one.
Keep it alongside the healthy aging basics: moving every day, sleeping well, eating plenty of plants, not smoking and getting regular checkups.
Just one practical note. Quercetin and milk thistle can affect how the liver processes certain medications, and horny goat weed and pterostilbene can affect blood pressure. If you take blood thinners, blood pressure medicine or other prescriptions, check with your doctor or pharmacist before starting.
