LeanBiome review: 20 billion CFU, green tea extract and a 180 day refund window
LeanBiome pairs nine probiotic species with Greenselect green tea extract, inulin and two traditional herbs, and the label prints every amount. Here's what you get and how to take it.

Here's something I don't see often enough in weight loss probiotics: a label that actually lists milligrams and colony counts. LeanBiome does. You can read exactly what's in each serving, which makes it a lot easier to decide whether it's for you.
On the bottle it's called Biome, made by a company called Lean for Good. ClickBank sells it as LeanBiome. Same capsule, two names.
A look at the label
A serving is two delayed release capsules, and a bottle holds 30 servings. Each serving gives you:
Lactobacillus gasseri, 25 mg (10 billion CFU)
Lactobacillus rhamnosus, 10 mg (5 billion CFU)
A 10 mg probiotic blend (5 billion CFU) of L. fermentum, L. paracasei, L. plantarum, B. bifidum, B. lactis, B. longum and B. breve
Inulin, 200 mg
Greenselect Phytosome, a decaffeinated green tea extract, 300 mg
Sphaeranthus indicus, 300 mg
Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana), 100 mg
That's 20 billion CFU in total, a generous count for a consumer probiotic. The capsules are DRcaps, a shell designed to hold up against stomach acid so more of the bacteria reach your intestine.
Why these ingredients
L. gasseri and L. rhamnosus are two of the most researched species in the weight management space. The sales page points to a Japanese study with an L. gasseri fermented milk and belly fat, and a Canadian study where women taking L. rhamnosus lost more weight than those on placebo.
The green tea piece is my favorite part. Greenselect Phytosome is a branded extract bound to a phospholipid to help absorption, and it's decaffeinated, so you aren't adding a jolt to your morning. The 300 mg here matches the amount used in a well known Greenselect diet study. Nice to see that lined up.
Inulin is a prebiotic fiber, basically food for the good bacteria. Sphaeranthus indicus and mangosteen are traditional plants from India and Southeast Asia that show up together in metabolism formulas.
Taking it
Two capsules before breakfast. The company describes the formula as vegan and free of gluten, dairy, soy and nuts, which keeps things simple if you have dietary restrictions. Since inulin feeds gut bacteria, a little extra gas in the first week or two is normal while your system adjusts.
I'd pair it with the habits that make any weight goal easier. Plenty of protein, more vegetables and fiber, decent sleep and a daily walk all give your gut bacteria and your metabolism something to work with. Taking the capsules at the same time each morning, right before breakfast, also makes it easy to remember. Probiotics are a daily habit, and consistency over a few months tends to matter more than any single dose.
One more thing I liked: each bottle is exactly one month at two capsules a day, so it's easy to know when to reorder.
Bundles, shipping and that refund window
Two bottles: $158, plus $9.95 US shipping
Three bottles: $207, plus $9.95 shipping
Six bottles: $294 ($49 a bottle), free US shipping
The smallest order is two bottles, so you start with a two month supply. It's a one time purchase with no autoship, and the six bottle tier includes a smoothie recipe ebook.
The guarantee is what stands out. You get 180 days to request a refund, and the company says that includes empty bottles. Six months is one of the longest windows I've seen for a product like this, and it gives you real time to see how it fits your routine.
If you're immunocompromised or managing a medical condition, check with your doctor before starting any high count probiotic.
Two fair caveats. The research used specific strains such as SBT2055, and the label gives species names only, so you can't confirm you're getting the studied strains. The two herbs are below the amounts used in their research, and the testimonials come from a sales page persona, so they aren't evidence.
If you've been wanting a probiotic that tells you exactly what's in it, this is a good one to try. Order LeanBiome from the official site, start with the two bottle pack and give it a couple of months.
